# Reading Log template

Ever finish a school year and realize you have no idea how many books your child actually read? This Reading Log gives you one simple page to track every book, read-aloud, and audiobook: title, author, start and finish dates, format, and a quick rating.

## What's inside

One printable page with a 20-row table and six columns: title, author, started, finished, format, and rating. A short usage note explains the format column (read-aloud, independent, or audio) and the rating column, which only needs a quick "loved it," "okay," or "not for us," since this is a log, not a book report.

The page is black and white by design, so printing a stack of them will not drain your home printer's color cartridge.

## How to use it

Add a row each time a book is started, and fill in the finished date and rating once it is done. There are no categories to overthink and no summaries to write, just enough detail to watch real progress build up over a term.

If you have more than one child, print a separate page per kid, or start a new page each term so the list stays easy to scan.

## Frequently asked questions

### How many books does one page hold?

Twenty rows. Print a new copy once a page fills up, or start a fresh one each term.

### Does it work for more than one child?

Yes. Print a separate page per child so each kid's reading list stays its own record.

### Is this the same reading log included in the Family Bundle?

Yes, it is the same page. This is the standalone version for anyone who wants just this one template, sold on its own for $5.

### Do I need a specific reading curriculum to use it?

No. It works with any books your child reads, whether that is an assigned curriculum, free reading, or audiobooks during a car ride.

### What if I already own the Family Bundle?

You do not need this. The Family Bundle already includes the reading log along with the rest of the planner. This standalone version is for families who only want one or two specific templates.
